“...relax...we don't eat pandas...just doges...” — Confucius

Back in 2014, a small crew of bitcointalk anons created $PANDA and called it the “Asian Doge Coin” — Dogecoin 2.0.

The vision was simple: bring Doge-style meme culture to the massive Asian crypto market. A block reward that halves like clockwork, a Confucius quote for flavor, and a community built to run further than the news cycle.

Twelve years later, the lore is still here. The bitcointalk thread never died. The premine confession is still a lot. So we asked the only logical question: what if we recreated it on Solana?

Because that is where the memes actually live now — 400ms blocks, fees measured in fractions of a cent, and a culture that ships a coin faster than the 2014 thread could compile a mining pool list.

For anyone new here — this isn't a fresh meme cooked up this morning. $PANDA has a real bitcointalk announcement thread from February 11, 2014, complete with a mining pool list longer than most whitepapers, a 3% premine “for community, giveaways, casinos, and bounties,” and a straight-faced pitch to out-Doge Dogecoin in Asia.

The Confucius quote was in the thread. The urban legend about two baby pandas combining ectoplasm and soy sauce to birth an “omnipotent all-knowing coin” was, unfortunately, also in the thread. None of it made sense. All of it was memorable. That's the lore we're standing on.

The difference in 2026: no Scrypt, no gravity well, no waiting on a pool operator to notice you. Just an SPL mint, a liquidity pool, and a forest of degens.

This time, no mining pools, no Kimoto's Gravity Well, no 3% premine to explain away. $PANDA on Solana is a straightforward on-chain revival:

  • 100% of supply enters circulation at launch. No premine, no team allocation.
  • LP tokens burned at launch. Mint authority revoked — the supply can never grow.
  • Freeze authority revoked. Nobody can freeze your bamboo.
  • 0% buy / sell tax. Pure meme, no toll booth.
  • Mint account public and verifiable on Solscan — see the Info box above for the address.

Is this the original 2014 coin?
No. The 2014 Panda Coin was a Scrypt proof-of-work chain that faded out years ago. This is a community tribute — the lore, the mascot, and the Confucius quote, rebuilt as an SPL token on Solana.
Why “Asian Doge Coin”?
That's the exact pitch from the original thread — Dogecoin's meme energy, aimed squarely at the Asian crypto community that Doge never fully reached at launch.
Why Solana?
Sub-second finality, fees small enough that a meme trade costs less than a grain of rice, and the deepest meme-coin liquidity in crypto. A 2014 shitposting coin deserves a chain that can keep up with the shitposting.
Is $PANDA safe to buy?
Always verify the mint address yourself on Solscan before swapping. This is a meme token — do your own research, only risk what you can afford to lose.
